Cepea, 3/02/2025 – Harvesting of Brazil's first bean crop is advancing, but the challenges posed by rain continue, Cepea researchers point out. Sources consulted by the Center report impacts on grain quality, resulting in greater availability of stained and sprouted beans. As for prices, Cepea surveys show that comparing weekly averages points to a decline, although, when comparing the last two Thursdays, some support can be seen, particularly for higher-quality product, which is scarce in the market. Overall, market participants are also keeping an eye on the pace of second-crop planting. Source: Cepea (www.cepea.esalq.usp.br)
